The Ending and the Beginning
I love this day more than any other day of the year. It’s the day that I look back on 365 previous days and remember what I’ve done (or not), who I’ve been (or not), what’s changed (or not), and that reflection always brings a smile. Sometimes the smile is because it’s over and I don’t have to do that again, but mostly I smile because I’m amazed at all that’s occured in a mere 12 months.
I smile because it’s over – and I smile because I get a whole new 365 days of growing, learning, loving and playing – no matter where life leads me, I get to choose how these days will be for me – happy, sad, amazing, not so amazing – they are all mine. It’s my birthday! And it’s your birthday too! Enjoy your day – and enjoy your year. Peace be with you.
